Who left Dancing on Ice tonight?

IT was a sad day for Dancing on Ice – when tonight's show fast became a touching tribute to Caroline Flack.

Host Phillip Schofield broke down in tears as he opened the show kind words about tragic Caroline who took her own life yesterday.

He said: “We'd like to begin the show by taking a moment to remember Caroline Flack. In light of yesterday's awful news we wanted to say our hearts go out to her family and friends.”

Holly continued: “Many of us here on the show knew Caroline as a friend and we'll all miss her enormously. As Caroline herself recently posted, in a world where you can be anything, be kind.”

As if that wasn't enough to get the folks at home all bleary-eyed, contestant Joe Swash came on and stole the show with his performance to Robbie William's Candy, despite being in pain over Caroline's death.

He fought back tears as he told the judges “It's been a tough day.”

His missus Stacey Soloman then took to Instagram to show her support to him.

She wrote alongside a picture of Joe with his two sons:

“Love is everything. We are so proud of you. There is nothing worse than seeing you in pain, but nothing that fills our hearts more than seeing the joy you get from being a daddy and a role model. An incredible one at that. In this moment in time, all we can do is be kind. And remember that there is a human in every picture, behind every story, every post, every headline, and every tv screen, a real person, taking it all in, the good and the bad. There is no such thing as the perfect human. Having Empathy and kindness is all we can truly strive towards. “In a world where you can be anything, be kind” – Caroline Flack 🤍 RIP We are so sorry, It should never have been this way.

Meanwhile the whole show went on, without anyone mentioning what the heck happened to pro skater Hamish.

He released a statement on Instagram earlier saying he was pulling out of tonight's show.

One fan wrote: ” Anyone else think that @dancingonice

should show the public the footage they have of Hamish and Caprice doing their rehearsal? Show us what really happened. Do the right thing by Hamish!! “

Meanwhile Maura Higgins was the latest celeb to get booted off the show after losing in the skate off to Libby Clegg.
