White House breaks silence on Trump raid: 'President was not briefed'

The White House highlighted the FBI's "raid" of President Trump's former presidential residence, the Mar-a-Lago residence, and that President Biden has made prior advances on law enforcement efforts. I stressed that I had not been warned.

"No. The President was not briefed and was unaware of it. No one in the White House was brought to his attention. No, it did not happen." White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre of , told reporters at a daily briefing.

The White House declined to comment further on the matter and referred reporters' questions to the Justice Department. The Biden administration is seeking to distance itself from the Mar-a-Lago raid, an unprecedented development involving the former U.S. president.

The Independent reported that Trump supporters were criticized for a "civil war." Asked about the call to 'The White House', the White House called on the demonstrators to keep the peace.

"There is no place for political violence in this country," said Jean-Pierre. “People have the right to speak out peacefully, but we strongly condemn any attempt to orchestrate any kind of violent action. I ask you to keep the peace."

This is a developing story.
