Mother talks about her "disgust" after AA left her family stranded without food for 24 hours and they fell apart.
Charlotte Leach-Le Planche, her partner her Dale and her 1-year-old Florence fell ill while returning home from her family vacation.
Their Ford C Max had an engine failure - At around 6:30 pm on August 14th they left for Florence in a scorching Wales with no food or diapers. stranded in the countryside.
A family many miles from her Alrewas home in Staffordshire called onAA to rescue them but We were told there would be a 3 hour wait.
But when help did not arrivefor her 24 hours, Charlotte's parents made the arduous journey to Wales to pick them up.
Charlotte told Staffordshire Her Live: How do they think this will be received?
``This is disgusting. We have to stop something like this from happening again.”
Arriving at the car at about 9:40 pm, the mechanic said the engine was in the garage. Said it could only be repaired.
AA said recovery trucks would not arrive until the next morning. So Charlotte immediately called her vacation cabin boss to book another night.
At 1:30 pm the truck finally arrived, but the driver said he could only take the car, not the family. That means Charlotte, Dale, Florence, and his three family dogs will be abandoned in the countryside.
Another truck was promised at 6:00 pm but did not show up.
Charlotte's parents had to pick up her family.
A spokesperson for the AA said: "After investigating this incident, we are deeply sorry to learn that our customer experienced an unacceptable delay in service and their next trip due to a lack of communication that fell short of our usual high standards.
"
``Unfortunately, A remote breakdown has exacerbated the problem with the rental car.
''We will be contacting you to apologize for the inconvenience and compensate you.
``We will also make sure that you are reimbursed for any expenses incurred due to your overnight stay.
``Apologies again to our customers. like"
