Saturday Night Takeaway viewers fuming as star goes missing and fan favourite segment is dropped

SATURDAY Night Takeaway fans were left baffled as a fan favourite star went missing during tonight's show after his segment was dropped from the ITV programme.

Stephen Mulhern, 45, is a regular on Ant and Dec's show and hosts the game segment where the two hosts face-off against each other.

However, the star failed to appear during tonight's episode leaving fans concerned.

Other regular stars of the show including Jordan North and Fleur East all appeared as usual but the same could not be said for Stephen.

Taking to Twitter to pick up on his absence, one fan said: "Aww no @StephenMulhern this week on @itvtakeaway much prefer Stephen."

Another added: "Missed Stephen Mulhern this week."

As a third said: "Love Toni Collette but missed Stephen Mulhern."

Ant & Dec failed to acknowledge the whereabouts of the much-loved presenter during the episode.

Despite his notable absence from the programme, the show still featured its regular amount of chaos as star guest announcer Toni Colette made a huge blunder as she accidentally swore live on air.

Toni, 50, made the epic blunder as she joined in with the show's opening game called Saturday Night at the Movies.

In a game akin to charades, Toni attempted to guess which huge Hollywood movies a variety of families were attempting to act out.

The fact-paced game saw Toni have 45 seconds to answer as many of the charades as she could but during a flustered moment she swore live on air.

Aussie actress Toni exclaimed: "S***, somebody help me," just moments into the show.

The moment appeared to go unnoticed at first and it wasn't until after the show returned from its first advert break that hosts Ant and Dec apologies for her epic gaffe.

Fans were quick to pick up on it however as one said: "Very much enjoyed the pre-watershed 'oh s***' from Toni Collette on #SaturdayNightTakeaway."

A second added: "Toni Collette just said s*** on live TV. Love it."
