Referee Anthony Taylor Romero's challenge to Cucurella VAR checked the incident but ruled out a red card.
When asked if he was surprised that the foul was not awarded, Cucurella replied: We didn't see the replay on the pitch during the match, but I think it's very clear on the video.
"This could be one of the referee's or VAR's errors. But sometimes referees make good decisions, sometimes they don't. This is not my problem.
"The players are focused on the game and may have to work hard in the next game to avoid conceding a goal at the last minute."
