CotswoldsA man was arrested on suspicion ofmurderafter a quarrel at a village pub.
Police have begun investigating the death of a man in Charfield,Gloucestershire.
Just before 11:00 pm on Friday, an emergency service was called at the address of Thames Close.
A man who has not yet been officially identified was found injured but could not be saved.
Avon and Somerset policestate that a man was arrested and detained on suspicion of murder.
Detectives want to hear from people who have seen previous incidents in village pubs.
A spokesperson for the Avon Somerset police said: Police and ambulance crew members were called to the address of Thames Close on Friday, June 24, just before 11:00 pm. A man was found injured and sadly could not be saved.
"The identity of the man has not yet been formally confirmed, but his family is aware of and supported by specially trained police officers. Our idea is theirs. Lost.
"A man was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains detained by police.
" Police officers make house-to-house inquiries and other inquiries. Meanwhile, police presence continues to grow in the village.
"I don't think there is a risk to the wider community, but if there are concerns, a uniformed neighborhood in the area. Talk to one of the police officers in the area. I am looking forward to hearing from someone who has the video of the drive recorder. "
