SHE and her husband spent years deciding on the perfect name for their little daughter, but finally agreed to call her Pearl.
But after Lisa Medcalf shared a video on her TikTok revealing other monikers they considered, comments were inundated from trolls about the name Pearl.

"Pearls?! Like?!?!” asked one.
Another added: "Somebody's never seen SpongeBob!"
"The Pearl of Pearl Harbor?"
As someone else wrote: "Isn't Pearl the name of Mr. Kani's daughter?" "I wasn't worried about asking if I was Captain Sparrow or anything," commented another, referring to the Pirates of the Caribbean ship, the Black Pearl.
It was in that comment that Lisa replied, explaining that the remark about Pearl's name made her giggle.
"There was a comment about Pearl's name," she said. .
"'The Pearl of Pearl Harbor? Is Captain Jack Sparrow her father? Did you name your daughter after the whale in Spongebob?'
" It made us laugh.
"'Kani-san's daughter?' Every comment was great."
Lisa's husband refused for his daughter's sake. Other names included Peaches, Daisy, Polly and Vada.
Nor did he call his daughter Marigold, claiming it was his grandmother's name. It's funny, but Pearl, literally my grandma's name, was fine," wrote another.
