The Duchess had a friendly "Commonwealth Raceat her SailGP in Plymouth. }” against New Zealand and was delighted to board the catamaran.

Kate donned her wetsuit and life her jacket, orange helmet, and sailed with the Olympic gold medal-winning Sir She Ben She Ainsley at the SailGP.

A video was posted on the official Instagram account of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with the following caption:

"It's not just the racing that's so important to these teams, it's their commitment to protect the future of our planet and inspire future generations to do the same.

The Duchess of Cambridge is Royal Patron of the 1851 Trust, the official charity of the SailGP team in England.

This charity helps young people by increasing their interest in science and technology through sports.

Its platform Protect Our Future aims to educate young people about climate science and empower them to take action on climate change.
