Ferrari's in the rain at Silverstone on Saturday Sainz has forgotten the world champion. Verstappen took only 0.072 seconds, andCharles Leclercwas third in the other Scarlet cars.
Sergio Perezis in 4th place,Lewis Hamiltonis in 5th place and full second back. He surpassed his compatriot Lando Norris, who finished sixth in McLaren. Hamilton's teammates at MercedesGeorge Russellfinished in 8th place.
"Thank you for being there in this rain," Sainz said. "The Spaniards are suffering from the rain, but you're used to it. I didn't think it was special with the laps, but I was a little surprised because I was in the pole position. The pace was all weekend. It's been around for a long time, but if I'm based on my practice pace, we should be in a good position to hold first.

But by the time they return to the loop towards Wellington Straight, Perez is back in front of Hamilton, and so is Leclerc.

Hamilton gets Perez almost around Brooklands.
But the Mexican maintains his podium. He has also won Leclerc. Sainz is 2.4 seconds ahead.

Sainz overtakes Leclerc around the loop-ignoring the team order to give him space on restart-Perez takes Hamilton in the same corner as going straight up Wellington Overtake.

Leclerc is him You may be in trouble knowing: "It will be difficult" when Sainz and Hamilton are said to be soft and behind.
Perez, Alonso and Norris also pitted in, and Norris lost his position after pitting in the lap.

Hamilton is uncertain about tire choices. "Oh, I'm sure it's the right tire."
He hasn't lost his position and he hasn't lost Sainz. Leclerc will put a lot of pressure on his hard tires.

Esteban Ocon broke down on an old pit straight-and it causes a safety car.
Sainz and Hamilton's pit, Leclerc, goes out. Sainz and Hamilton will wear soft tires with 12 laps remaining.
LAP 38/52: Leclerc, Sainz, Hamilton, Perez, Norris, Alonso
Sainz is told that he needs to save fuel, and inevitably the Spaniards are not happy with it.
His lap times are significantly lower at Leclerc and Hamilton. Meanwhile, Ocon overtook Verstappen at DRS in the cheers of the Silverstone crowd.
The leader of the Chamion Ship has been up to 9th place.
