Donald Trump, 76, was welcomed by supporters at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Texas. delivered a keynote address to the delegation. The 45th president, who lost to 79-year-old Joe Biden in the 2020 US presidential election, spoke for nearly two hours in Lone Star State on Saturday.
During his speech, Mr Trump also spread unsubstantiated claims that the last election was stolen from him.

But Mr Trump also appeared to position himself as a leading candidate to overcome some of the problems facing America.

Hungarian populist Prime Minister Viktor Orban (59) and former Brexit Party Nigel Farage (58) also attended an event.
Mr. Trump received a large following from delegates after a CPAC straw poll revealed he had more support than 43-year-old Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
The former US president has the support of 69% of CPAC delegates, well ahead of DeSantis, who has 24%.

With just 7% of voters expressing support for another candidate, it is unlikely that a potential primary will see an outside challenger.
Recent Harvard-Harris polls also put Trump ahead of Biden by 4 points and his 7 percent lead over Vice President Kamala Harris.
