You can have your own I’m A Celeb themed party at a private castle – and eat bugs and worms in a Bushtucker trial

FANS of I'm a Celebrity can test their own skills with a themed party - complete with bug-eating Bushtucker trials.

Launched by Stag company Stag Web, the winners will be treated to a three-course meal by a private chef.

The losers, however, will spend the night eating rice and bean rations.

The rest of the stay has its own luxury, staying at a castle near East Lothian in private rooms.

Welcoming up to 16 guests, there is also a fully fitted kitchen and living area.

The first part of the weekend includes an archery competition, with two teams competing against each other.

After this, guests can then take part in the Stag Tucker Trial, with four rounds of eating bugs and creatures.

This includes crickets, grasshoppers, mopane worms and giant waterbugs.

The winners are treated to a three-course meal at the castle, cooked by a private chef, while the losers have to eat rice and beans that evening instead.

StagWeb’s Director of Operations, Steve Roddy, said: “Almost everybody in the UK who has ever watched I’m a Celeb has wondered how they’d fare in the jungle, but thought they’d never get the chance.

“But as soon as we saw it was being switched to the UK as a result of the COVID pandemic, we thought there was a possibility we may be able to answer those questions once and for all.

“So we came up with ‘I’m a Groom… Get Me Out of Here!’ to give the main man and his closest mates the opportunity to try it out for themselves."

You can't stay at Gwrych Castle, where I'm a Celebrity is filmed, although you can usually visit.

We've rounded up the best castles you can rent for the night instead, however, which start from just £9 each, per night.

If you want to splash the cash, you can even buy your own UK castle, starting from £395,000.
