Will Smith's hidden signs of discomfort while chatting with his wife Jada proved an uncomfortable viewing in the eyes of a body language expert.
The couple's sex life and marriage was laid out on the Red Table Talk chat show for the world to tune in and listen to on Friday.
In an explosive interview, Jada admitted to having an affair with August Alsina, 27, during a break in her marriage to Will four and a half years ago.
Body language expert Judi James pointed out the Hollywood actor appeared to be "less at ease" with the confessional chat than his wife.
Judi told The Mirror: "This is quite a difficult watch, especially watching Will, who seems less at ease with the whole process than his wordy wife Jada.
"Overall there seems to be a plan to give Will some control by putting him in the ‘Jada’ seat and pose, listening to what appears to be his wife’s confessional of her thoughts and feelings. He performs deep nods as she begins and his listening style is solemn and calm."
Also Will's discomfort could be seen in his attempts to move the interview towards humour and cracking jokes.
I Am Legend's lead star appeared to be comforting himself by rubbing his leg, according to the body language expert.
Judi went on: "Will seems to keep moving to humour here, which can suggest some discomfort and a desire to lighten the mood.
"His face is constantly breaking out into a smile, while Jada’s expression is more earnest. His right hand rubs his leg under the table in what looks like a self-comfort gesture."
Despite the moments of discomfort, it was noted the couple put on a united front for the difficult chat addressing the rumours swirling about their marriage.
Will and Jada stand together on the grounds their marriage was stronger than ever following their temporary separation and the affair.
Judi said: "There were clear signs of agreement and some unity at the end though and this is when Will was most emphatic and looked more relaxed.
"He points as he tells her ‘I don’t want to go through this no more’ and displays some power re-booting gestures, laughing as he slaps his leg a couple of times, strokes his beard and bites his lips.
"His most congruent phrase is ‘I can love you through anything’. His eye contact is steady on her face and this seems to be his core message."
