SATURDAY Night Live is set to look a whole lot different as two key members of the team are leaving.

One of the comedians who will no longer be on the hit weekend show is Lauren Holt.

Why is Lauren Holt leaving SNL?

Lauren is leaving after bosses decided decide to shake up the cast line-up.

She had signed onto Saturday Night Live prior to Season 46 and is departing after just one season.

Speaking about her departure, she wrote on Instagram: "What an incredible year spent with incredible people. I will always be so grateful. Cheers to all the cast members past, present, & future.

"So proud to be/have been a part of this amazing family. These three letters will always bring joy to my heart… SNL, I love you."

Who else is leaving SNL?

Veteran SNL star Beck Bennet has also been cut from the show.

The comedian took to Instagram to share a tribute to his time on the show.

"Love you, SNL. Gonna miss you so much," he shared. "Thank you for 8 years of remarkable people and incredible experiences that completely changed my life. I had so much fun."

While Beck and Lauren are departing, nearly all other cast members have signed on to return, including Kate McKinnon, Cecily Strong, Aidy Bryant, Pete Davidson, Colin Jost, Michael Che, and Kenan Thompson

Who is replacing Lauren Holt?

Although an exact replacement has been announced, some new faces will join the main line-up.

The new season welcomes newcomers Aristotle Athari, James Austin Johnson, and Sarah Sherman.

Andrew Dismukes and Punkie Johnson will also make a return for a second year.

When is SNL back on TV?

Saturday Night Live is set to return for its 47th season.

You can catch the action this Saturday (October 2, 2021) .

The episode will feature Loki star Owen Wilson as host with musical guest Kacey Musgraves.
