Manchester United host Everton on Sunday afternoon and will head into the fixture full of confidence after their recent turn-around under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
After United’s midweek Europa League 4-0 defeat of AZ Alkmaar, the Norwegian’s side are now unbeaten in four games, having beaten Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham and noisy neighbours Man City along the way.
The feel-good factor is back at Carrington and is returning on Merseyside. A dark cloud has loomed over Goodison Park this season culminating in the sacking of Marco Silva, with Everton great Duncan Ferguson taking over the caretaker reins.
The introduction of Ferguson proved to be a masterstroke last weekend, with Everton dispatching Chelsea 3-1 at home and the Toffees now head into Sunday’s fixture rejuvenated.
With club legends now at the helm of each club, the match will no doubt be a tricky affair for United to deal with but if the Reds can reproduce their form from the Manchester derby, there should only be one winner.
