Two Bradford men admit crimes committed at McDonald's

TWO Bradford men have been fined after admitting committing different crimes at McDonald’s restaurants.

One of the men admitted a hit and run incident while the other was in breach of a restraining order when they committed their offending at the fast-food outlets.

They were both slapped with fines of hundreds of pounds each when they appeared at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court in April.

The first was 22-year-old Nauman Yousaf, of Agar Street, Girlington, who admitted an offence committed only a stone’s throw from his home at the McDonald’s restaurant in Ingleby Road.

Yousaf pleaded guilty to being the driver of vehicle and failing to stop at the scene of an accident on January 1, when he was driving an Audi A3 in the restaurant’s car park and involved in an accident in which a woman was injured.

In court on April 22, he was handed a £333 fine, six points on his driving licence, and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £34.

The second man was in court on April 26. Stephen Slater, 62, of Somerton Drive, Holme Wood, admitted two counts of harassment by breaching a restraining order during the hearing.

The first occurred on November 20 last year when he contacted a woman on Facebook, which he was prohibited from doing by the order.

He then breached a second restraining order on November 27 by making indirect contact with a second woman at a McDonald’s restaurant at Cathedral Retail Park in Wakefield.

For both offences, Slater was fined £107 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £34, and the two restraining orders which he breached will continue, banning him from contacting two women.
