THE Talk has been renewed for a 12th season after Sharon Osbourne’s dramatic exit.
However, the longtime host’s replaced has “still not been hired.”
The daytime talk show’s Twitter account confirmed the news on Monday, writing: “JUST ANNOUNCED! #TheTalk has been officially renewed for another year on @CBS returning for a 12th season in 2021-2022! More fun, more topics, more talk!”
Despite news of The Talk’s renewal, Deadline reported that the show has still not found a replacement for longtime host Sharon.
The 68-year-old quit the show in March over her on-air fight with co-host Sheryl Underwood.
The show currently features hosts Sheryl, Amanda Kloots, Elaine Welteroth and Carrie Ann Inaba, who is on a leave of absence.
The cast shakeup began when Sharon addressed her decision to stand by her longtime friend Piers Morgan's criticism of Meghan Markle, resulting in an on-air fight with Sheryl, 57, on the March 10 episode.
Sharon felt Sheryl was insinuating she is racist because of her decision to support her friend.
The show took a month-long hiatus to conduct an internal review, while CBS then announced Sharon had quit the show in March.
Back in April, Carrie Ann was out for two weeks because of side effects from her various autoimmune conditions.
The 53-year-old then announced she was taking a leave of absence from the CBS show.
Her break from the show comes amid her alleged feud with co-host Sheryl.
