A new political podcast digesting and analysing the biggest political stories across the North has been launched by the publisher of the Liverpool Echo.
The Northern Agenda podcast is aired every Friday and features news and analysis from around the region as well as grilling political leaders on the big issues of the day.
It is hosted by the team behind The Northern Agenda daily newsletter, including Northern Agenda Editor Rob Parsons and Westminster Editor Dan O'Donoghue.
And the podcast will feature contributions from award-winning political journalists including Liam Thorp of the Echo as reporters on sister titles across the North including Jennifer Williams of the Manchester Evening News and Graeme Whitfield, business and agenda editor for the Chronicle in Newcastle.

The first episode of the podcast features Liverpool Labour MP Ian Byrne, talking about a powerful speech he gave in the Commons on the Hillsborough disaster and protecting victims of public disasters.
The podcast also looks ahead to the Labour party conference, which starts in Brighton this weekend.
Former shadow chancellor John McDonnell tells Dan O'Donoghue of his shock at the plans by party leader Keir Starmer to reform internal party election rules, saying they are an 'attack on the rank and file of our party'.
