The final pre-election episode of the North Poll - the political podcast from the north, about the north - is out now.
This week we go on the battle bus with Jeremy Corbyn , who stopped off in Bolton on the penultimate day of the campaign.
Jo Timan, local democracy reporter at the Bolton News, joins us to talk about what he had to say both to the crowds in Blackrod, as well as our ride on the battle bus.
The Liverpool Echo’s political editor Liam Thorp - a former Bolton News reporter himself - also helps us unpick what’s going on in Bolton in this election, a borough with two battleground seats that has seen a string of high-profile visits during the course of the campaign.
We also talk about how this election has played out in Merseyside, including for the Liberal Democrats, before running through our campaign highlights and lowlights.
And joining us once again from the Yorkshire Post is Geri Scott, the paper’s Westminster correspondent, to talk about the agenda-setting story broken by sister title the Yorkshire Evening Post in the final days of the campaign - the tale of four-year-old Jack, who was pictured being treated on the floor of Leeds General Hospital due to NHS pressures.
This is our final pre-election episode of the series, but join us on Friday for a sleep-deprived morning-after episode, when we will chew over all the twists and turns of the night before.
The North Poll is a Laudable production, featuring titles including The Yorkshire Post, the Manchester Evening News and the Liverpool Echo.
