Swimmer dies after being pulled from lake at a beauty spot in North Wales

A SWIMMER has died after being pulled from a lake at a beauty spot in North Wales.

Emergency crews were scrambled to Bala Lake in Gwynedd at around 4.50pm yesterday when he was spotted "getting into difficulties" in the water.

The man was rushed to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor by air ambulance but sadly couldn't be saved.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and his next of kin have been informed.
