Sunderland have welcomed Doncaster to the Stadium of Light for Friday Night Football.

The Black Cats came into the game unbeaten in seven - winning their last three games.

There were few chances in the first half with neither side able to dominate the game - and it finished 0-0.

The referee copped most of the attention with some dubious decisions - including a booking for Charlie Wyke for a diving.

Here are the half-time player ratings.

JON McLAUGHLIN 6

Collected a few crosses, but hasn’t had a save to make

JORDAN WILLIS 6

The hardest working of Sunderland’s back three in the opening 45mins

ALIM OZTURK 6

Kept Ennis under control

JOEL LYNCH 6

Came closest to a goal in the first half, heading into the sidenetting from a corner

LUKE O’NIEN 6

Caused Doncaster a few problems when he got forward down the right

GEORGE DOBSON 6

Good energy in the middle of the park but needs to do more with the ball

MAX POWER 6

A couple of crunching challenges

DENVER HUME 5

OK going forward but Taylor has found space in behind him on a couple of occasions

CHRIS MAGUIRE 5

His corner led to Lynch’s chance, but other than that he has been poor

CHARLIE WYKE 5

Won very little in the air and was also – harshly – booked for a dive

LYNDEN GOOCH 5

Has not really got into the game as yet
