Lauren Goodger has explained why she is introducing her daughter to solid food at four-months-old.

The former TOWIE star, 35, welcomed her first child into the world with Charles Drury back in July.

Since giving birth to baby Larose, Lauren has split from the builder who she first started dating in October 2020.

Speaking to her 788,000 followers on Instagram, the reality TV star confessed she had been under "lot of stress" when explaining why she was weaning her baby.

"I'm a breastfeeding mother, she feeds on demand, but I spoke to a couple of midwives – NHS and private – trust me, I longed this out as long as I could," the mum-of-one told her fans.

"I've been through quite a lot of stress lately and my milk flow was low and she was really hungry so I thought do I give her less milk or feed her."

The Essex native continued: "I've obviously gone for the healthier option and fed her. These products and food, you can have from four months.

"I'm not giving her full-on meals. I've given her a little bit of mushed-up banana, no added sugar rusk which she absolutely loved, and those Ella's Kitchen pouches that are organic.

"Then I'm going to make some fresh food for her and mash it up."

Lauren's update comes as it was confirmed that the reality TV star had become a single mum, after splitting from boyfriend Charles shortly after Larose's birth.

Earlier this month, the pair confirmed their break up on social media but gave very different statements and views on the end of their relationship.

Lauren and Charles Dury split just week after becoming parents together

Charles, 24, was the first to announce the split, writing on Instagram: "Only going to post this once, me & Lauren have decided to go our separate ways.

"Things must remain civil for the sake of our daughter. Lauren is a great mum so when it comes to Larose we both have her best interests at heart so she will still see us both."

He added: "I’d appreciate if people could stop making themselves busy & putting their 2 pence in as no drama is needed round here."

The pair posted conflicting statements online in the wake of their split (

Not long after the builder made his statement online, Lauren responded with a version that didn't seem to be in line with the supposed "no drama" split.

She shared: "I apologise for Charlie talking about our relationship status right now as our daughter is very ill and this is the least of my worries. I do not wish to comment on the situation at this time as there is much more to it but my priority is getting my daughter better."

The new mum added: "So if any press want to run stories please run them about my baby girl which is the most important thing to me right now shame I can't say that about others."
