Solskjaer to make Brit stars transfer priority for Man Utd next summer with Sancho and Maddison top targets

MANCHESTER UNITED are eyeing Jadon Sancho and James Maddison as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer targets British talent, according to reports.

Old Trafford chiefs splurged on Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James this summer.

And ESPN reports that Maddison and Sancho are high on his shopping list as Solskjaer plans for the end of the season.

Strengthening up front is a priority for United after they lost Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku this summer.

The Red Devils are struggling for goals with just eight in five games.

And former Manchester City star Sancho, 19, would add electric pace as well as addressing a lack of cutting edge after starring at Borussia Dortmund.

While playmaker Maddison, 22, earned his first England call-up this month after continuing his form with Leicester.

Daniel James is United's top scorer this season after hitting the ground running since his summer switch.

But it has been better news at the back, with the additions of Maguire and Wan-Bissaka firming up the defence.

And David De Gea has finally signed a new Manchester United deal until 2023.

The Spanish goalkeeper, 28, had delayed putting pen to paper on a new contract worth around £350,000-a-week for over a year.

But now he has committed his future to Solskjaer's side after firm interest from Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer say De Gea is possibly United's best-ever keeper
