One Shih Tzu managed to get a head start on their Halloween costume while her owner turned their back to enjoy a takeaway.

Four-month-old Penny managed to get her head stuck in a KFC cup holder and it sat on her face just like a Halloween mask.

Her owner Chelsea Titherington had only looked away for a moment but shared a video of the aftermath to twitter for all to enjoy.

Originally from Litherland, the 23-year-old explained to TeamDogs: "We had left the cup holder on the couch whilst we were eating.

"Next minute I turned around and Peggy had stuck her head in the cup holder and was sat with it on her face like a Halloween mask.

"We had tears rolling down our face from laughing so much, it’s only something Peggy would do."

The retail worker says Peggy has only been with her family since August but after her auntie bought Howie, Peggy's brother, she knew she needed to keep the siblings together.

Chelsea added: "When we saw her (Peggy) we fell in love with her she looked just like a little fluffy teddy bear, we just had to have her.

"My mum finally gave in allowing us to have a dog and we picked her up a few days later. My mum now loves her just as much as me and my sister."

Peggy who is claimed to have the waggiest tail, even has own her own Instagram.
