Blackpool is the seaside escape of the North with people moving from across the country to live out their dreams of being by the coast.

The town has a range of properties to suit a variety of tastes, from newer builds to homes with a bit more history.

Properties in Blackpool had an overall average price of £128,311 over the last year according to the estate agent website RightMove.

The majority of sales in Blackpool during 2019 were semi-detached properties, selling for an average price of £131,344. Terraced properties sold for an average of £94,341, with detached properties fetching £223,353.

Overall, sold prices in Blackpool over the last year were similar to the previous year and similar to the 2007 peak of £127,946.

With terraced houses selling for less than £95,000, Blackpool is one of the most affordable areas to live in Lancashire.

Although the market has been tumultuous over the past few years in the area, more and more people are now looking to make the most of the stamp duty holiday; with many looking to get on the property ladder for the first time.

Here, we have rounded up several homes currently on the market for less than £60,000.

Handsworth Road

The terraced house at Handsworth Road in the northern area of the seaside resort is the cheapest one on the list.
