Sean Dyche and Jurgen Klopp exchanged angry words on the touchline as Fabinho's kick out at Ashley Barnes sparked a half time melee during Liverpool's Premier League clash with Burnley.

The Reds man kicked out at Ashley Barnes as the pair challenged for the ball right on half time with referee Mike Dean booking the Liverpool defender.

Barnes and his Burnley team-mates were not happy with the challenge which sparked a scuffle between a number of players with plenty of members of Liverpool's coaching staff entering the field of play as tempers flared.

Dyche and Klopp also exchanged angry words, which continued as the two sides left the field for the interval.

VAR looked at the incident involving Fabinho and Ashley Barnes

The two managers were clearly not seeing eye to eye on the incident with Klopp angrily making his point to the Burnley boss.

VAR did check the Fabinho incident to see if there was a case for a red card but after a relatively swift look it was deemed a yellow was sufficient.

Fabinho was chuckling as he walked away from the incident with Ashley Westwood particularly irritated by the challenge.
