The demolition of Rugeley Power Station will continue next week, it has been announced.
The fourth phase of the demolition works will take place at approximately 10am on Thursday, November 28.
Works will see the collapse of the Turbine Hall and Deaerator (DA) Bay.
To protect everyone on site and in the surrounding area, an exclusion zone will be in place before, during and immediately after the collapse.
The exclusion zone is well within the power station boundary fence and there will be no public access to the area or impact on the local road network.
Organisers of the demolition of say the demolition is considered to be low impact.
Although the initiation and collapse may be heard off site, any noise will be over very quickly - a statement said.
The other main structures, including the rest of the Boiler House, Chimney and Cooling Towers are scheduled for controlled collapse in 2020. The complete demolition of the site is expected in 2021.
More than 2,000 new low carbon homes are on the cards for the site as part of an ambitious redevelopment programme.
