PS5 consoles are predicted to arrive in several major UK stores today.

The MUCH sought-after consoles are expected to drop at AO, John Lewis, Currys, Amazon and more over the coming days.

A huge Playstation 5 restock has long been predicted and it seems like today is the day we could finally see consoles on the shelves.

The PS5 was released six months ago to critical acclaim but for millions of gamers it has proven almost impossible to get hold of.

Thanks to parts shortages, coronavirus-related delays and then, incredibly, a giant container ship blocking the Suez canal and holding up deliveries, supplies to the UK has been incredibly limited.

  • PLAYSTATION BOSS SHARES FRUSTRATION WITH GAMERS

    IF you’ve been left feeling a little down after not getting your hands on a PlayStation 5 console this week, you’re not alone, as PlayStation boss Jim Ryan showing deep sympathy. 

    During an interview with Axiom, the suit has directly commented on the scalping situation that plagued the first few months of the system’s lifespan. 

    With issues significantly calming down at this point, Ryan said the following on the lack of PS5 stock: “This really frustrates me and upsets me, especially when resellers and bots manage to get their hands on stock.”

    AHEAD of the restock of the PS5 at multiple retail stores this week, gamers are now able to feast their eyes on the new DualSense controller.

    Releasing in Midnight Black and Cosmic Red, Playstation fans can expect to get to grips with the controllers this June.

    These will be the first new controllers released since the PS5's launch, giving owners more options beyond the original black and white model.

    Scheduled for a release date of 22 October 2021, the game will arrive just in time for Christmas.

    Releasing on PS5, PS4, XBOX One, XBOX Series X and the PC, the game will be retailed at £59.99 on previous generation consoles and £69.99 on the PS5.

    Containing a next-gen bundle, a midnight Ultimate Bundle DLC, digital art book and a digital soundtrack, a Gold edition will also be on sale for £109.99, which is scheduled to be released a week earlier.

  • CURRYS PS5 RESTOCK - RETAILER IS DITCHING ITS CURRYS PS5 VIP PASS CODE SYSTEM 

    Currys recently announced that its shutting its VIP pass draw, which would have given people the opportunity to win a code to purchase a new console. 

    However, it has not been as plain sailing as first imagined as many who have claimed codes are yet to hear back from the retailer. 

    Currys are rumoured to be trying something different this month, with rumours suggesting the console may be coming back into stock. 

    They are expected to receive shipment of consoles on 23 June.

  • PS5 NEWS: FIVE OF NINE RUMOURED DROPS HAVE COME TRUE 

    On Wednesday there were drops at GAME and Very, whilst John Lewis and JD Williams released their consoles on Thursday. 

    Today there was a drop at AO and another drop at Smyths Toys.

  • EXPLAINED: BATTLEFIELD 6 SUPPORTED PLATFORMS

    EA has already confirmed that Battlefield will be available on a host of platforms.

    For PlayStation fans, you’ll be able to play on both PS4 and PS5.

    And the game is coming to Xbox One, as well as the newer Xbox Series X and Series S models.

    It’s also very likely that we’ll see a PC release, given that Battlefield 5 was available on Windows.

    There’s no word on a Nintendo Switch launch sadly – but that was also true for Battlefield 5.

  • PLAYSTATION BOSS EXPLAINS PS5'S LACK OF SUPPORT FOR OLD PLAYSTATION GAMES

    PLAYSTATION boss Jim Ryan has let out that he doesn't hate old games while responding to controversial comments he made in 2017, whilst he explained the PS5's lack of support for PlayStation's entire back catalogue of games.

    Speaking in the latest Axios Gaming newsletter, Ryan was asked about a 2017 interview with Time  in which he recalled seeing different versions of Gran Turismo running side-by-side on PSone, PS2, PS3 and PS4.

    Ryan said: "The PS1 and the PS2 games, they looked ancient, like why would anybody play this?" he said at the time.

    "It goes with the territory, but I get a little bit frustrated at still being hit over the head with this one

    "The point I was trying to make - obviously not very well - was just how great the PS4 version looked and how far the series had evolved. I certainly wasn't trying to be disrespectful to our heritage."

    DURING last night's Game Fest live stream last night, developers took the opportunity to announce new PS5 and PS4 games which are scheduled to release this year.  

    Hidetaka Miyazaki’s dark fantasy game Elden Ring was announced, detailed to be released on 22 January 2020 on both the PS4 and PS5. 

    Amazon only has the PS4 version available for pre-order, but those hoping to grab a PS5 shortly, the PS4 version of Elden Ring will have a free PS5 upgrade.

    News broke this week via Twitter that retailers such as ShopTo, Ebuyer, Currys PC World, Argos and Smyths Toys are restocking the PS5

    From a trusted source on Twitter (@PS5StockALertUK),  Ebuyer, for example, has just listed a new PS5 bundle with Ratchet & Clank. 

    Currys PC World are expected to receive a new shipment of PS5 consoles from 23 June, while Smyths Toys and Argos will receive new shipments from mid June"
