Lockdown saw an increasing number of pet parents and with it pet purchases which has led to shoppers sharing their best buys.

Brits collectively spent over £180m a month on their pets last year, with those aged 25 to 34 splashing out £1,498 a year, according to a survey from 118 118 Money.

But it doesn't have to all be high-end expensive buys, as shoppers in a bargain-hunting Facebook page prove.

Pet owners have made their best recommendations for pet products that deal with everything from hair in the home to hot weather that range in price from £2 to £35.

Pet Coolers

The hot weather was hard for some of us but even harder for dogs .

So a cooling product has made the list.

It's the Options Cooling Bandan for dogs to wear around their necks that cost £8.99 from a bargain store.

The recommendations said: "My mum managed to find this for her labrador in £-Stretcher! Best £8.99 she spent, the first day he hasn't been panting and trying to find somewhere cool!"

Pet Beds

This is one of the more indulgent purchases as most pet owners know their pets will sleep on just about anything other than the purpose bought bed.

However, it is a hit with one shopper who called it a bargain - and 4,500 people have liked it.

It's called a Paws and Pooches, Pet Sofa Bed from Home Bargains.

"Pet sofa bed £34.99 from Home Bargains", said one shopper.

And by the look of how comfy the Frenchie is it's a worthwhile buy.
