Oprah asks Meghan Markle why son Archie wasn’t made a prince

A new clip shared ahead of the highly anticipated two-hour interview between Oprah Winfrey and the Duchess of Sussex sees the former talk-show host ask why the couple’s son Archie was not made a prince.

In the clip, which was released ahead of Sunday’s CBS special, the TV juggernaut, sitting across from Meghan, asked: “How did they explain to you that your son, the great grandson of the Queen, wasn’t going to be a prince?

“You certainly must have had some conversations with Harry about it, and have your own suspicions as to why they didn’t want to make Archie a prince. Why do you think that is?”

While we will hear Meghan’s full response tonight, the duchess can only be seen telling Winfrey: “I can give you an honest answer.”

The suspenseful snippet comes after it was confirmed following Archie’s birth in May 2019 that he would not have a royal title, but would instead be known as Master Archie.
