When it comes to sleep, we want as much space in the bed as possible and anyone else hogging the covers is a major no-no.
But one mum has revealed that she not only has her husband taking up space in her bed - but her five kids are welcome to hop in as well.
In a viral post on TikTok, US mum Amanda Scott, also known as @littlesouthernwife, showed off her huge 'family' bed, in which they all co-sleep.
She captioned the video, which has been viewed over four million times, writing: "Everyone always asks about our family bed."
The parent went on to explain that it was made up of a king-size and a queen-size mattress pushed together in a homemade bed frame.
The bedding for the large piece of furniture is comprised of two fitted sheets and a duvet over the top.
She shared a clip of her changing the sheets on the bed, which ended up causing a stir.
One person was outraged by the idea of co-sleeping, commenting: "Co-sleeping is a big no!"
Another said: "I was like omg what a good idea until I saw 'co-sleeping'."
Others were confused about how she and her husband ever managed to have any alone time and get intimate with little ones in their bed.
They asked: "How do you have 'mum and dad time?"
Amanda explained that their older children sleep in their own beds now and that she doesn't force any of the little ones to sleep in the bed.
"They make the transition when they are ready and we fully support them and encourage them to sleep in heir beds.
"They are also super independent for those who are worried," she said.
She went on to clarify that the bed doesn't ruin "mum and dad time".
Instead she claims and her husband have a very "healthy" sex life and when it comes to spending alone time together they simply "explore other spaces" in the home for "intimacy".
