Jose Mourinho could offer Donny van de Beek an escape route from Manchester United, according to reports.

A little over two weeks on from his sacking by Tottenham, Mourinho has already found himself a new job and will take over at Roma at the end of the season.

Somewhat predictably as a result, Roma have been linked with a host of United players this past week, with Nemanja Matic and David de Gea already being touted for moves to the Stadio Olimpico.

Now Van de Beek has been added to the list as CalcioMercato report that the Dutchman is on Mourinho's 'shopping list.'

The midfielder only joined United last summer but has struggled during his first season at Old Trafford and has largely been on the periphery of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

It's reported that Van de Beek's failure to settle in Manchester has made him an intriguing target for the Serie A side and that they have been looking at him before Mourinho's arrival.

It's added that United responded by asking about the availability of star player Nicolo Zaniolo, who Roma would not be willing to sell.

Meanwhile, AC Milan are reportedly planning to hold talks with United over the future of Diogo Dalot.

The full-back has spent the season on loan at the San Siro, making 29 appearances and contributing two goals and three assists.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, via SportWitness, Milan are planning on 'sitting down' with United at the end of the season to see the club's demands for Dalot, but any move may depend on if the Italian side can qualify for the Champions League.
