Meghan Markle wore £29,000 worth of jewelry including Princess Diana's £17,800 Cartier watch while reading her children's book on a YouTube show.
The 40-year-old was reading her Harry and Archie-inspired book, The Bench, on Brightly Storytime, "a resource to help parents raise lifelong readers" launched in partnership with Penguin Random House.
The watch, gifted to Diana by her father on her 21st birthday, was then believed to have been given to Meghan by her now husband Harry in the early days of their relationship.
Princess Diana regularly wore the gold Cartier Tank Française watch for engagements in the 1990s.

After Diana died in 1997, the watch belonged to Prince William but it is believed he gave it to Harry in or around 2009.
Meghan has been gifted several items from Diana's collection, the Mail Online reports. The lavish items include Diana's butterfly earrings and gold bracelet, which Meghan wore on their Australian tour in 2018.
The Duchess is known to be a fan of the gold Cartier Tank watch and forked out for her own two-tone version back in 2015.
At the time, she told Hello Magazine: "I've always coveted the Cartier French Tank watch. When I found out Suits had been picked up for our third season—which, at the time, felt like such a milestone—I totally splurged and bought the two-tone version.
"I had it engraved on the back, 'To M.M. From M.M.' and I plan to give it to my daughter one day. That's what makes pieces special, the connection you have to them."
