Maura Higgins suffered a bloody injury as things appeared to get out of hand during last night's boozy National Television Awards afterparty.

The Dancing On Ice scarlet, 29, seemed to let her hair down after she attended the ceremony at London's O2 Arena alongside her hunky Love Island beau Curtis Pritchard.

However the fiery vixen appeared to take an alcohol-induced tumble after struggling in her steep stiletto heels into the early hours of the morning.

The ex Love Island star took to her Instagram account to show off the bloody wound on her knee as she hinted that she lost her balance in the silver sandals.

Maura shared a sneak peak at her wild partying antics around 2am on Wednesday morning as she shared a gory snap of her scraped knee to her Instagram story.

Teasing her disappointment at her fall, Maura wrote: "Oh ffs," over the image.

The reality TV bombshell hinted that she suffered a nasty fall as she rubbed shoulders with her fellow Love Island stars at the drunken afterparty.

After complaining about her bloody leg ruining her glamorous display, Maura appeared to get cleaned up quickly as her management team came to the rescue with a bright blue plaster.

Thanking her team for bandaging her leg during the glitzy star-studded bash, Maura shared a boomerang snap with the caption: "And she's the best."

The Love Island finalist's bloody injury suggested that her stiletto heels got too painful as she partied into the morning or that she fell when her booze-fuelled antics got out of hand.

To accentuate her sensational look, Maura opted for a pair of silver stiletto heels to elongate her toned pins and emphasise her sexy strut into the annual awards show.

Maura joined fellow Love Island couple Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague as well as islanders Michael Griffiths, Jordan Hames, Jack Fincham and Eyal Booker.

The Love Island stars appeared to get slightly bleary eyed as they continued to post a series of snaps and clips from inside the glitzy party.
