Two promising Manchester United forwards have given their reactions to penning new long-term contracts at the club.
Joe Hugill and Charlie McNeill were both in inspiring form for the Man United Academy sides last season, and the pair are highly rated by staff at the club.
The two 17-year-old attackers were signed by United last summer from Sunderland and Manchester City respectively, and were evidently thrilled to secure their futures with the club, declaring their delight on social media.
"Perfect way to end a great week," Hugill posted on his Instagram page.
"Thanks to everyone who helped me in my first year with @manchesterunited, a very proud moment for me and my family. The hard work doesn’t stop now."
McNeill echoed his teammates' sentiments on his own Instagram account, writing "Another proud moment to sign a new contract @manchesterunited!
"Thanks to everyone who has helped me along the way, time to keep working hard,"
Hugill, who netted 16 goals and registered three assists in 26 games for the club's youth sides last season, made his debut in the first team this summer in pre-season.
McNeill, meanwhile, provided 25 goals and six assists in 25 games last season.
Both are well regarded at Carrington and have a big season ahead of them. Hugill has proved he is on the brink of a competitive first team appearance spending pre-season with Solskjaer's team.
For McNeill the next challenge will be to make the step-up to U23 football after making two appearances for the club's second string side last season.
