Ighalo on United ‘dream’
Odion Ighalo has spoken of his joy after it was confirmed his United loan spell has been extended until January 2021.
The Nigeria international arrived at Old Trafford at the eleventh hour of the January transfer window to provide an alternative striking option to Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood.
Ighalo had a strong start for the Reds - netting four goals in eight appearances - and with his loan spell set to expire on May 31, United and Shanghai Shenhua agreed a seven-month extension.
“I'm really happy,” he told United's official site. “It's a dream for me to be here. I'm buzzing and ready to go.
“I feel okay. The last few days have been difficult as there have been different talks about it but now I'm really happy so I need to concentrate fully. I'm here until the end of January, so it's good for me.
“I decided I want to stay and I'm happy. Since the first day I arrived, I made it clear that I wanted whatever it takes to continue that work. It was very difficult, there were some talks, but I'm happy they finally agreed and got everything done. Everything is official now.”
Martial prowess in United’s training
Anthony Martial’s impressive strike in training earlier this week caught the eye of many supporters.
The French striker was in fine form before the season was postponed, scoring goals against Chelsea and Manchester City.
MEN Sport took a look as United returned again to training, and his prowess in front of goal was one of the five things to be underlined from the session.
Bruno Fernandes being on all set pieces, Lee Grant’s return from injury, the focus on passing drills and Ighalo also looking impressive are other aspects to take from the training.

Fans react to leaked United away kit
New images have appeared online of what is said to be United’s away kit for next season - which appear to tally with previous leaked pictures.
Reports earlier in the year suggested that Adidas have produced a green away strip for the 2020/21 season and the new images from JerseyReview, via FootyHeadlines, seemingly confirm next season's colourway.
The United badge and Adidas trims are all white with the Chevrolet logo taking its place in the middle of the shirt.
The shorts and socks feature a slightly darker tone of green but the white accents are present throughout - and the fans were loving it.
The shirt was due to be released last month, but was delayed due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
