Here are your Manchester United evening headlines for Sunday, September 27.

Rashford names the area United must improve

Marcus Rashford believes that Manchester United must improve to achieve their objectives this season.

The Reds scored in the 100th minute against Brighton and Hove Albion to squeeze out a 3-2 win from what was an otherwise underwhelming performance.

Speaking after the game, Rashford outlined that his side must improve the way they start games.

He told MUTV: “We have to use these three points as motivation to improve and keep getting better… we have to improve if we want to hit our targets for the season.

“We had a slow start in the last league game and it’s more important to pick up points. It’s more important that we lost the first league game, we had to win today.

“It doesn’t matter how we won, we got the three points and we’ll move forward and improve.”

Garner sends strong message to Solskjaer

James Garner sent a strong message to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Saturday with an impressive performance on loan at Watford.

The United youth product recently moved to Vicarage Road on loan for the season and he played a big part in their 1-0 win over Luton on Saturday.

Garner played the entire match as Joao Pedro sealed all three points in the first half for the Hornets.

Making the decision to go out on loan in the second tier of English football proved a big stepping stone for Garner and he has already shown exactly why he is up to the task.
