It's derby day in the Premier League 2 as Manchester City under-23s host Manchester United in a clash that could have big consequences in the title race.

Manchester United have been solid on their return to the top tier of U23 football this season, sitting eighth. Victory tonight would not only put a dent in City's title ambitions, but also secure their safety from relegation back to the second division of the Premier League 2. With just one win required from their final four fixtures, however, and three teams between them and the final relegation spot, there shouldn't be too many concerns in the United camp.

This game is more than just bragging rights for City, though, who can move 11 points clear of second-placed Blackburn with a win - and that could be enough to seal the title if Blackburn were to lose on Monday against Liverpool. City face West Ham next before a home and away double-header against Spurs in their final two games.

Enzo Maresca's young Blues are unbeaten in their last 14, and an eventful reverse fixture finished 2-2 in December. James McAtee gave City the lead, before Ethan Galbraith and Facundo Pellistri scored for United either side of Adrian Bernabe's red card. Taylor Harwood-Bellis rescued a point for City after the break.
