Manchester City will win the Premier League title yet again this coming season, according to a data-based prediction.
Pep Guardiola' s title holders may have lost Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia this summer, but they are reportedly set to bolster their ranks with hefty moves for Jack Grealish and Harry Kane.
And a supercomputer has backed Manchester City to win a second back-to-back title under Guardiola.
According to Betting Expert 's supercomputer Manchester City will win the Premier League with Chelsea finishing in second and Liverpool ending the campaign in third place.
Perhaps the biggest surprise foreseen by the supercomputer is the plight that will befall Manchester United — who are only expected to finish in fourth place.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 's side were runners-up last season and the club have significantly improved their side with the arrival of Jadon Sancho and the imminent transfer of Raphael Varane.
Despite this, the supercomputer's data still expects them to perform worse in comparison to last season and drop down two positions as a result.
“Manchester City are hard to look past as title winners once again, so it’s no surprise that our supercomputer has them top of the pile," said a spokesperson from Betting Expert.
“Chelsea, after last season’s drastic improvement and Champions League success, are predicted to run City closest, while Liverpool and Manchester United make up the top four.
“At the other end of the table, the newly-promoted trio of Norwich, Watford and Brentford are expected to find the step up too difficult."
It augurs well for Guardiola's side, but a lot may hinge on whether the club can reinforce his attacking line-up, with both Jack Grealish and Harry Kane linked with mega transfers to the champions.
