Love Island's Toby Aromolaran asked Hugo Hammond to leave him alone in their first chat since a dramatic twist that took place moments earlier.

On Thursday, viewers welcomed the drama as Hugo took aim at Toby with his recoupling speech, for his treatment of Chloe Burrows.

Toby picked new girl Abigail Rawlings in the recoupling, leaving everyone stunned as he ditched Chloe who he'd been partnered up with for the past few weeks.

Hugo then saved her from a villa exit by coupling up with her, before making a brutal dig at Toby with his speech.

Furious with his so-called friend for calling him out in front of everyone, he wasn't so keen to chat with Hugo moments later when he asked if they could "have it out".

He said: "That’s not cool bro. I am shocked, that is s**t from you.

"I’ve asked you your opinions and I am not angry about your opinions. Your opinion is completely valid. The fact is the way you went about it."

He added: "I'm so p***ed right now. I feel like you're so two-faced cos I have valued your opinion since day one... that means nothing to you."

Hugo said: "First and foremost mate I still consider you as family and I hope that we can get past this.

"I did say you needed to be honest and needed to communicate, those words did come out my mouth."

He added: "I didn't plan that, I did not think you were gonna pick Abi... Chloe was left standing there feeling this big.

"She is a really good friend of mine. I don't think it's fair that anyone is left up there feeling like that."

Toby replied: "But you're acting like I wanted her left up there like that," with him pointing out: "Well you made the decision mate."

He refused to apologise or take back his words, with Toby saying he didn't want Chloe to be hurt.

It's then that Hugo brought up a similar situation Toby had with Kaz Kamwi earlier on in the series, leading to the men falling out again.

He said: "You said you had learned from that same situation but it's happened again... I want you to do better mate, it's happened again. Is it gonna happen again with Abi?"

Toby fumed: "Don't try and flip the script," with Hugo shouting: "I'm not."

The Islander then called Hugo out for not going to him before slamming him in front of everyone else, and as Hugo continued to defend himself he had enough.

Toby said: "Bro, bro please, just please go yeah. I don't even wanna look at you right now, if I'm honest.

As he questioned him for deliberately embarrassing him, Hugo said he saw him as a mate so to tell him when the time was right to make amends.

Toby said: "We're not good mates, you can't say we're good mates... t**t."

The next morning he claimed he would remain civil with him but would never speak to him again after the show.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
