Lillie Haynes' loved ones have issued a plea to stop the 'hate' after she dropped a major truth bomb during Friday night's dramatic episode of Love Island.

Lillie was one of six new female contestants sent to tempt the boys during a lads' holiday in neighbouring villa Casa Amor.

She caught the eye of Liam Reardon, who had been coupled up with Millie Court in the main villa, and the pair kissed and shared a bed.

As the chemistry sizzled between them viewers were appalled by his betrayal of Millie, who had been pining for him on the ITV2 dating show.

Lillie told the truth

Liam went back alone, much to Millie's relief.

However, having lost her love interest and her place on the island, Lillie was summoned to the villa by host Laura Whitmore to bow out along with the other rejected girls, and she wasn't going quietly.

She told the gobsmacked Islanders, including Millie who was left fuming by the bombshell news, how her interest in Liam was 'reciprocated' and told how they had kissed outside of the challenges.

Lillie dropped a truth bomb

Lillie's nearest and dearest have since urged people to 'be kind' and defended her mission to find romance in Casa Amor.

They said: "Only one person has behaved badly towards Millie and it most definitely was NOT Lillie!"

In a heartfelt Instagram post they wrote on her Instagram: "Great to see Lillie going into the villa and dropping the truth bomb.

Lillie and Liam

"Our girl went into this experience hoping to find a connection with a guy who felt the same way but unfortunately she didn’t find him.

"Just like every other islander Lillie was perfectly entitled to get to know everyone.

"Both Jake and Teddy made it very clear they wanted to return to their girls and slept on the day beds, so full respect to those guys. The other lads wanted to get to know the new girls, share their beds and kiss them etc.

"Only one person has behaved badly towards Millie and it most definitely was NOT Lillie.

"The truth will always come out … and probably sooner than you think."

"Better still, Don’t hate #bekind and remember these are just a group of gorgeous young people enjoying the holiday experience of a lifetime for an entertainment TV show.
