It is the binge-worthy TV show that has set social media alight over the past few weeks and Love Is Blind has now aired its explosive finale which left viewers gripped and in a state of shock as weddings descended into absolute chaos.

Taking Blind Date to a whole new, and quite frankly insane level, the show launched on Netflix earlier this month and within hours of the first lot of episodes being made available to stream, prompted an absolutely huge reaction on social media.

Love is Blind is hosted by Vanessa and Nick Lachey, yes THAT Nick Lachey - the one who was once married to Jessica Simpson and starred in Newlyweds.

The official synopsis for the show on the Netflix website reads: "Nick and Vanessa Lachey host this social experiment where single men and women look for love and get engaged, all before meeting in person.!

That is putting things very mildly as each episode produces some seriously jaw-dropping moments which will have you hitting rewind to confirm what you've just witnessed.

But if you thought the first nine episodes were compelling, the tenth and final one blows them all out of the water as some of the weddings descend into total chaos.

A bride falls over in the mud after getting jilted at the altar; another leaves her groom in tears after saying "I don't" and a couple that viewers thought were nailed on to live happily after don't even make it out of the wedding together as the bride stuns everyone by calling things off.

We're not going to name names as that would just spoil things but one thing we will say is that Jessica does NOT disappoint as is TV gold as she has been throughout the season.

A glance at Twitter will tell you all you need to know about how intense and amazing the final episode is. After watching it, one tweeted: "This Love is Blind season finale is.. SOMETHING ELSE," and another reacted: "5 minutes into the Love Is Blind finale and I AM GASPING."

A third responded: "You guys... the show ‘Love is Blind.’ I gave it another try and I have not stopped screaming at my tv since I pressed play. This is the most ridiculous show I’ve ever seen and I CAN. NOT. STOP. WATCHING," and another is already ready for more, tweeting: "OK @netflix I'm ready for the reunion show and 10 more seasons of love is blind. Pls renew. thank you."
