Heading back to the dancefloors may have been delayed but we thought we'd reminisce a little
It came as a blow to many that the reopening of nightclubs is being delayed as the Government put back covid 'freedom day'.
So we thought we'd do the next best thing - well almost - and take a look back at some pictures at nightclubs in the area in the good old days when crowded dancefloors were the norm . . .
Coronavirus has but paid to a weekend of clubbing and dancing the night away. Still think of all that money you're saving!
There was hope that we would be able to head to the clubs from next week but the latest announcement from Prime Minister Boris Johnson means that this has been delayed by another month due to rising virus figures.
TOP STORY: More football teams from the past in Burton and South Derbyshire
Hang in there though as we will be able to go to the clubs very soon - just a little longer to wait.
With this in mind, we thought we would remind ourselves of some of the clubs and discos of Burton's past - before covid made us spend weekends at home.
We have delved into our archive to pull out some classics from the 1970s, 1980s, 2000 and 2011. We have the opening of nightclubs, the old Burton Mail disco and even a dance championship - and there is no social distancing insight.
So take a walk down memory lane with us and see if there is anyone that you recognise. If you spot anyone you know - including yourself - leave us a message in the comments, using the green button at the top of the story.
