Long queues for East Park playground as families enjoy Sunday sun

Popular East Park was crowded this Sunday as families flocked to playgrounds for some lockdown fun in the sun.

Long queues formed for the playgrounds while walkways were packed with strollers, bikes and scooters as people made the most of the warmer weekend weather.

Queues wrapped around the playground fencing with excited children desperate to enter the play areas in one of the first weekends of good weather this year.

Although, social distancing didn't appear to be in place despite the current national lockdown put in place.

People are however able to leave their homes for exercise, and unlike in the first lockdown, parks have remained open to allow the public to do this.
