Liverpool monitoring Jude Bellingham situation

Liverpool are reportedly monitoring Jude Bellingham's situation at Borussia Dortmund.

Eurosport claim the Reds are showing interest in the England international but face competition to sign the 17-year-old.

Dortmund are said to be targeting a £100m-deal for the incredibly talented midfielder, who switched to the Bundesliga side last summer and has flourished on the continent.

The report goes on to say that Bellingham is "happy to stay with Dortmund next season, even if there is no Champions League football."

However, he does intend to come back to England to test himself in the Premier League but will only do that when the right opportunity comes along.

Liverpool 'consider cashing in' on Mane for Dembele

Liverpool are considering "cashing in" on Sadio Mane according to Fichajes in Spain, via the Daily Star.

Mane has been linked with an Anfield exit in recent months following a difficult campaign in which he's scored 12 goals so far.

The report goes on to add that Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele is being eyed by those at Anfield as a replacement for the Senegal international - although he would cost a large chunk of the £122m the Camp Nou side paid Borussia Dortmund for his services in 2017.

The France international, 23, is back in favour under Ronald Koeman in Spain, scoring 10 goals this season following several injury struggles since leaving Germany.

It remains to be seen whether the Reds are willing to freshen up their squad, but you'd imagine given Demebele's injury troubles that smashing the club transfer record to get him might not make sense.

Van den Berg makes transfer declaration

Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg admits he wants a return to Preston North End next season.

The centre-back arrived at Deepdale on deadline day in February and has impressed on loan with the Lilywhites during his short spell with the club so far where he has also played at right-back.

It is understood that several Championship clubs are interested in taking the 19-year-old on loan next season.

LancsLive report that North End have first refusal on a deal for the defender next season if a number of appearances are met, and the player himself seems keen to stay put.

“I would love to come back (if there is the chance),” Van den Berg said following their draw against Stoke, as per George Hodgson.

“It’s an easy answer for me, I love it here.”

Porto 'want' Grujic

According to Record [via Sport Witness], Porto want to sign Marko Grujic permanently this summer with the versatile and combative midfielder having impressed on loan with the Portuguese giants this season.

It is believed that Porto will try to sign the Serbia international for less than the €23million Liverpool reportedly wanted for him last season.

The ECHO understands the Reds are set to talk to Porto and Grujic about what the future might hold before making any transfer decision this summer.

Konate is 'top Liverpool target at £34m'

According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool are on the hunt for a central defender this summer window with RB Leipzig player Ibrahima Konate apparently their top target.

Leipzig are keen to keep hold of Konate but he reportedly has a £34m release clause written into his contract, which may prove a sticking point for the Bunesliga club should the Reds trigger that with an offer.

Newcastle claim victory against West Ham

Should Liverpool beat Leeds on Monday, they will move ahead of fourth-placed West Ham in the Premier League on goal difference.

Lawrenson explains what Wijnaldum is telling Liverpool

Mark Lawrenson believes Gini Wijnaldum is telling Liverpool he wants to leave.

The former Reds defender believes the club will have offered the almost ever-present Dutch midfielder a "really, really good deal" with his contract set to expire at the end of this season.

However, with contract talks still in the balance and Barcelona a reportedly very interested party, Lawrenson believes Wijnaldum could be leaving.

Speaking to Off the Ball, he said: “The old pro in me kind of looks at him and thinks, well, you almost like want to leave him out. He is saying to the club, ‘See you later, I am out of here’. They will have offered him a really really good contract obviously, so he needs replacing.”

Good afternoon

Hello everyone, Connor here taking over from Chris.

Before we get cracking with the transfer news, I thought you'd be rather interested to know West Ham are 1-0 down against Newcastle and have just had a man sent off.

If that result stays the same and Liverpool win on Monday, the Reds will move ahead of the Hammers on goal difference and will then only have Chelsea to contend with the race for the top four.

BBC Sport reporter Darren Fletcher has made a claim about Liverpool’s summer transfer budget, according to an article by HITC.

They quote him as making his declaration on the BBC Radio 5 Live Daily Football Podcast.

Fletcher, who works for both BT Sport and BBC as a broadcaster and reporter, said:

“Well, listen I don’t know, I don’t sit in the Liverpool boardroom, but people close to the club tell me that there’s not a great deal of money to spend on players. At the moment, the focus is on redeveloping the ground.

“They’re generating money to try and redevelop Anfield and that is going to impact what they’re going to do in the transfer market, and they might need to be a bit more creative.”

Fans give their take on Raphinha absence

Raphinha says he is happy at Leeds United (Image: Catherine Ivill/Getty Images)

Some fans have been speculating why Leeds United's Raphinha is set to miss Monday night's game with Liverpool, according to a report.

The Brazilian has enjoyed an impressive debut season in the Premier League and has been linked with a potential move to Anfield with Reds scouts apparently "blown away" by his displays.

However, Marcelo Bielsa declared in his pre-match press conference that the winger is set to miss the Yorkshire side's match against the reigning champions at Elland Road.

The Boot Room reports that some fans are wondering why the player might be absent.

One declared that he "doesn’t want to play against his future employers" while a Liverpool supporter commented: "Raphinha dipping just incase we sing him to try and make sure we get Champions League."

Potential Haaland transfer boost for Reds

Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland

Liverpool could receive a potential Erling Haaland transfer boost with a report suggesting that Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are struggling to afford a blockbuster deal for the prolific Borussia Dortmund striker.

The Reds are among four English clubs (along with Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea) supposedly in the frame for the Norwegian international.

Goal claim Barcelona and Real Madrid remain keen on Haaland, as do several major clubs around Europe, but they have learned that the player's €35 million-a-year (£30m) salary demands are in danger of pricing even football's giants out of a deal.

They add that Interest from leading clubs across Europe in the prolific 20-year-old frontman is no secret, with his exploits in Germany keeping his stock high.

Berbatov makes Liverpool transfer claim over Kane

Dimitar Berbatov believes Tottenham striker Harry Kane could join another Premier League club this summer, but it won't be Liverpool.

Speculation is rife over Kane's future, with reports linking him with a move away from the club if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Spurs are six points behind West Ham in fourth with just seven Premier League games remaining and that is fuelling the intrigue over the star striker's potential next move.

Former Tottenham and Manchester United talisman Berbatov doesn't think Kane will move to Anfield, due to the wealth of attacking talent already among Jurgen Klopp's ranks.
