Liverpool fans have pushed Jurgen Klopp to make a move for Matheus Pereira after the West Brom winger took to social media to confirm he wants to leave the club.
The Brazilian scored 11 and assisted 6 in 33 league games last season, shining for the West Midlands club, despite not being able to prevent them from returning to the Championship.
With the Reds having been linked with strengthening their wide options throughout the summer, as rumours surrounding the potential exits of both Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri continue to circle, Pereira is the latest to spark fan debate.
Responding to Baggies manager Valerien Ismael’s comments that the 25-year-old “isn’t committed” to the club, having been left out of a pre-season friendly against Birmingham City last weekend, Pereira released a statement on social media.
In the statement, Pereira admitted he felt “extremely disrespected” and said, “I don’t want to leave the club through the back door, that was never my plan or intention, quite the contrary.
“I want the club to be adequately rewarded for believing in me and supporting me for two seasons.”
Upon seeing the statement, Reds fans took to social media to give their verdict on whether Liverpool should make a shock move for the former Sporting Lisbon man.

Jurgen Klopp has already shown that he is willing to sign players from recently relegated sides, with Andy Robertson, Gini Wijnaldum and Shaqiri all having struggled with their previous Premier League clubs before arriving at Anfield.
The ECHO understands that both Origi and Shaqiri are available at the right price, so another wide option could arrive if the pair find new clubs.
With West Ham and Leicester already having been linked with Pereira, who has also reportedly attracted interest from abroad, Liverpool would have to act quickly if the club were interested in West Brom's talisman.
