Liverpool fans have mocked Ruben Dias and Bruno Fernandes for their performances in Portugal's heavy Euro 2020 defeat against Germany.

Portugal took the lead against the Joachim Low's side when Bernardo Silva picked out Liverpool forward Diogo Jota who put the ball on a plate for Cristiano Ronaldo to tap home.

However, an own goal from Manchester City defender Ruben Dias levelled the score before his teammate Raphael Guerreiro also fired into the wrong net.

Germany continued to dominate the game after taking the lead with Dias struggling to deal with Chelsea attacker Kai Havertz.

Havertz tapped home the third after some excellent work from Robin Gosens before the Atalanta full-back capped off an excellent performance with a goal himself; heading in at the back post.

Liverpool fans were quick to fire shots at both Dias and Fernandes for their showings after receiving some many plaudits for their performances at club level.

Dias was regularly compared to Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk during his debut season at City but Reds fans believe those comparisons were far too premature.
