Firmino going nowhere

Liverpool have no intention of selling Roberto Firmino or any of their front three this summer.

The Brazilian was recently linked with Bayern Munich, while the Reds continue to be linked with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Jadon Sancho, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner, prompting speculation one of the front three could leave the club.

But Goal.com report that none of Liverpool’s front three will leave the club this summer and Reds bosses were bemused by reports of a potential move to Bayern being on the cards.

Kop icon backs Reds to sign Saka

Former Liverpool star Steve McManaman has tipped the Reds to tempt promising young left-back Bukayo Saka from Arsenal.

The 18-year-old has scored three times and provided eight assists for the Gunners so far this season in an impressive breakthrough campaign.

And McManaman believes Saka would be a useful acquisition for Jurgen Klopp, even if the youngster may have to wait for his opportunities given Andy Robertson’s status as one of the best left backs in Europe.

Klopp admits Mane talks after Liverpool substitution

Jurgen Klopp has revealed Sadio Mane was surprised at being hauled off at half-time against Atletico Madrid – but maintains the player had “no chance” of avoiding being sent off.

Mane was replaced during the interval of the 1-0 Champions League round of 16 first leg defeat in Spain on Tuesday.

The Senegalese had been booked after a tangle with Sime Vrsaljko during the first half and Klopp admitted he was substituted to prevent him being dismissed after Atletico hounded referee Szymon Marciniak following a subsequent coming together with Angel Correa before the break.
