Leigh-Anne Pinnock found herself battling against the elements as she took to the red carpet for her big screen debut wearing a very revealing dress.

The 30-year-old Little Mix star stunned in a captivating backless black dress which included severe partings up either side of her legs.

Leigh-Anne completed her look with a pair of dramatic black heels and had her hair styled into large, dramatic braid which draped over one side of her face.

But with winter weather battling the UK, the singer found herself having to fight against the wind which tried to blow her dress around to a point that risked showing cinema goers more than she may have intended.

While Leigh-Anne battled the wind on the red carpet at the Curzon in Mayfair, fans took to Twitter to express their joy – and disbelief – at how sensational the singer looked.

One fan posted: “how these people that witnessed leigh-anne in this dress in real life are doing because if it was me i would barely breathe.”

Another fan tweeted: “leigh-anne looks so good in this dress.”

And another gushed: "Woah! Leigh-Anne That dress" alongside a heart-eyed emoji.

And an even more impressed fan raved: "That dress!! That hair!! That body!! Leigh-Anne Pinnock!!"

It’s not just Leigh-Anne’s dress that has been winning praise – as her performance has been applauded too.

Co-star Aml Ameen praised her on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday, saying she is “one of the most dedicated new actors” he’d ever met.

He gushed: “You’re talking about someone who’d go do her work, do the whole pop star thing then come back at 8pm... and really study acting.”

The film itself was described by Deadline as a romantic comedy.

They explained: “Inspired by writer, director, and star Aml Ameen's life, Boxing Day follows Melvin (Ameen), a British author living in America, who returns home to London for Christmas to introduce his American fiancée, Lisa (Aja Naomi King), to his eccentric British-Caribbean family.

“Their relationship is put to the test as she discovers the world her fiancée has left behind.”

Earlier this week, Leigh-Anne opened up about feeling nervous on the set of the film.

She told Roman Kemp on Capital FM’s Breakfast show: "I remember my first day, I was shaking!

"So nervous, obviously I hadn't acted before and it's my first big opportunity and it's a massive film, it's just incredible... I loved every second and I would love to do a film a year maybe."

She also laughed about the fact that she and Little Mix co-stars Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall would use fake names when they check into hotels.

Leigh-Anne told the radio show: "It’s normally something really stupid, like a Disney name or something dumb!"

Boxing Day is due for release in the UK in cinemas on Friday 3 December 2021.
