Lancashire has recorded 652 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the latest data from Public Health England.

It comes as Lancaster continues to record higher numbers than the rest of the county and with high numbers also in the Ribble Valley and Blackpool.

Across the country, there were 32,417 new cases with 239,342 over the last seven days.

58 people died within 28 days of a positive test, with 965 dying over the last seven days. 777 people were admitted to hospitals in the country over the last 24 hours.

89.6% of people have now had their first dose of the vaccine with 82..3% now double jabbed.
