A shop worker was threatened with a knife as an armed robber demanded money from the till in South Shields.
Detectives investigating the robbery at the shop have now released an image of a man they would like to trace.
Shortly after 1.20pm on May 25, police received a report of a robbery at Boldon Lane News on Stoddart Street.
It was reported that a man had entered the store and threatened a staff member with a knife, before demanding money from the till. He then made off.
Nobody was injured but the victim was left shaken.
An investigation has been launched to find those responsible and police have arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with the incident. He has since been released under investigation.
As part of their inquiries, detectives have now identified a man they would like to speak to about the robbery.
He was seen in the area at the time of the offence and could have information that can assist officers.
An image of the masked man has been released by the force in the hope that somebody will recognise him.
